Biographical Sketch for Gayle Jones- Murphy

Abraham JulesGale Jones Murphy is a pianist, composer, vocalist, arranger, speaker, an educator, recording artist and television personality.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Southern Missionary College and obtained a Mater of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Memphis State University. 

She is a published choral writer with GIA Publications and she has recital pieces commissioned by the Negro Spiritual Scholarship Foundation of Orlando, FL. 

Mrs. Murphy is the choral instructor at the prestigious Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee and she is the Minister of Music at Riverside Chapel Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nashville, Tennessee.  Mrs. Murphy celebrated 30 years of marriage in 2009 to William Murphy, a talented musician who plays bass guitar.  They have 3 adult children and 2 grandsons.
